Tencel/ Modal is a cellulose fibre which, like cotton and bamboo, is made from plant materials. It is made by dissolving beech wood pulp or eucalyptus wood pulp (from certified and controlled sources & sustainably managed plantations). The manufacturing of Tencel requires less energy and water than cotton. It is also 50% more absorbent than cotton and because it's more breathable and less susceptible to odorous bacteria growth, Tencel is a long lasting healthy choice. As a naturally derived fiber, Tencel is also biodegradable.
Modal and Tencel are considered luxurious textiles thanks to both its soft feel and its eco-friendly properties.

Soft and lightweight, viscose and rayon fabrics are a silk substitute, as it has a similar drape and smooth feel to the luxury material. Made from various cellulosic fibres, ours is especially made from bamboo. It has exceptional properties such as superior comfort and hand, as well as antimicrobial properties. Since it is classified as a grass, it is one of the world’s most sustainable resources. Bamboo is the fastest growing grass, it can grow up to 119 cm in 24 hours and does not require replanting after harvesting due to the development of a vast root network. The inherent antimicrobial properties of bamboo eliminate the need for pesticides and fertilizers. Because viscose is made from renewable plants, it is environmentally friendly, and sustainable.

Unlike polyester, recycled polyester uses PET as the raw material. This is the same material that is used in clear plastic bottles, and recycling it to create the fabric prevents it from going to landfill.
The process of converting plastic bottles into polyester requires about 35-53% less energy and ultimately reduces landfill waste, air and water contamination.
Another benefit of recycled polyester is that it can be recycled again and again with no degradation of quality, allowing us to minimize wastage and in a close loop system polyester is able to be reused and recycled forever making it the most sustainable option.
